Linkly integrates 100th Cloud POS
The Future of Payments is Cloud: Linkly Cloud POS Accreditations Growing Rapidly, Completes Highest Cloud POS Additions in 2022
October 31, 2022
In total, Linkly now provides 100 accredited cloud POS integrations, with 2022 seeing new cloud-based platform accreditations overtaking on-premise POS accreditations.
Year to date, 70% of all Linkly POS additions are cloud POS while 30% are on-premise.
This is reflective of a Reportlinker.com survey (including Australia) which reports that the cloud point of sale market is expected to jump from $2.84 billion in 2021 to $3.5 billion at a compound annual growth rate of more than 23%. By 2026, the value of the cloud POS market is projected to reach $7.79 billion.
These numbers represent the growing demand and adoption rate of cloud POS solutions among businesses across different categories as more merchants want to leverage the benefits of these technologies.
Cloud POS creates portability, allowing merchants to take orders and receive payments via mobile devices wherever they are. Additionally, cloud-based point of sale eliminates the need for hardwire connections, freeing up counter space and making in-store experiences flow smoother. Plus, regular updates happen automatically ensuring that systems are always running the latest version.
The industries that have seen an exponential growth in cloud POS adoption include retail and hospitality.
With a sense of foresight to constantly watch growing market needs to make payment journeys better, Linkly has started accrediting cloud POS in 2016 but it wasn’t until 2019 that we began seeing massive growth.
Linkly’s accreditation of cloud POS systems is set to gain more momentum as we are actively working with POS solution providers, acquirers and merchants to expand the reach of our seamless payment integration solutions.
